On Saturday night, April 5, 2025, the Whitehead Memorial Museum hosted the 24th annual Cajun Fest Fundraiser. The event featured a live musical performance by Zydeco Blanco, free Cajun-style food, including crawfish, shrimp, catfish, and more, and ice-cold beverages.

Cajun Fest is an event held every year as a fundraiser in the effort to support the Whitehead Memorial Museum. The event is beloved by many in the community, and its success comes as no surprise. Featuring an enjoyable time for all, Cajun Fest is all about bringing community and culture together in a single unified place.

With the Whitehead Museum being the only full-time public museum in Val Verde County for up to 63 years, they keep finding incredible ways to bring the community together to support a common cause. With commitment and perseverance, we've seen this community do amazing things over and over again. With many more exciting and memorable events, we look forward to the future and are hopeful to see what it has in store.
