UNWANTED SUBJECT ARRESTED FOR THEFT

On 10/22/2024 at 7:40 p.m., the Del Rio Police Department responded to the 200 block of Veterans Blvd. (HEB) for an unwanted male subject. Upon arrival, police located the male subject at the grocery exit of the business near his bicycle.

Management reported the male subject carried a basket of misc. items outside of the store and passed the last point of sale without paying for the items valued at $125.76.

A warrant inquiry revealed the subject had an active arrest warrant for the offense of Theft of Property >=$2,500 2 or more previous convictions.

The male identified as Ruben De Jesus Reyna Jr.; 45 yrs. of age was arrested for the offense of Theft of Property with previous convictions. Reyna was also arrested for the outstanding arrest warrant. A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued to the subject at the request of Management.

Reyna was transported to the police station for processing, he was later released to the custody of GEO Correctional Facility.
