THREE ARRESTED FOR ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY

On 03/04/2024 at approximately 7:00 a.m. the Del Rio Police Department took a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle report, the victim reported someone entered his vehicle and removed a tin like container with spare change. The victim later called police to report camera footage had been located depicting the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle. Officers recognized the suspect as Mario Castaneda. The suspect’s vehicle was located, abandoned near the area of the Lions Park. Police discovered the suspect’s vehicle did not belong to Castaneda and had been stolen from the area of Washington Street. Police recovered the stolen vehicle and released it back to the rightful owner.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. police responded to the 600 block of W. 13 th Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival, the victim reported a suspicious vehicle was parked in front of her residence attempting to provoke a disturbance. The victim said she asked the suspects to leave and a male known to her as Mario Castaneda pointed a handgun at her as he departed the area. Police located Castaneda’s vehicle occupied by him and two females identified as Brianna Alexis Guerrero and Milagros Rebeca Lopez. Officers located the set of keys belonging to the stolen vehicle on Castaneda’s person. Officers recovered a handgun matching the description provided by the victim from W. 13 th Street. Police also located marihuana and THC oil inside the vehicle.

Mario Damian Castaneda; 17 years of age was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon later enhanced to Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Theft of Property $2500&lt; $30,000, Burglary of a Motor vehicle, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and Possession of Marihuana < 2 oz.

Brianna Alexis Guerrero; 21 years of age was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, later enhanced to Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Possession of Controlled Substance PG 3 < 28G, and Possession of Marihuana &lt; 2oz.

Milagros Rebeca Lopez; 20 years of age was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon later enhanced to Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and Possession of Marihuana < 2oz.
