THREE ARRESTED AFTER EVADING POLICE

On April 10th, 2024 at approximately 1:22 a.m. a Del Rio Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop at the 700 blk. of E. Gibbs St. The officer requested a driver license and warrant check on the driver of the vehicle.

Del Rio Police Communication Division confirmed the driver had four outstanding arrest warrants out of Val Verde County. The driver sped away from the scene after learning of the active felony arrest warrants but later came to a stop at an alleyway near the 700 block of E. 10th Street. The driver along with two male passengers exited the vehicle and evaded from police on foot. Police were able to apprehend all three subjects.

The driver identified as Sebastian Martinez; 24 yrs. of age was arrested for Evading Arrest or Detention with a vehicle (previous conviction), Evading Arrest or Detention, Arrest warrant for Evading Arrest or Detention with a vehicle, Arrest warrant for Resisting Arrest Search /Transportation, Arrest warrant for Silent Abusive Calls to 911 system, and Arrest warrant for Fail to ID Fugitive/False information.

Passenger identified as Joseph Guajardo; 25 yrs. of age was arrested for Evading Arrest or Detention.

Passenger identified as Jesus Rios; 18 yrs. of age was arrested for Evading Arrest or Detention.
