SFDRCISD MONITORING STUDENT ACTIVITY AFTER JUVENILE INCIDENT –THANKFUL FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PRESENCE IN SCHOOLS
Yesterday evening, SFDRCISD administration learned that an altercation between juvenile aged students occurred along the San Felipe Creek. This altercation took place outside of school hours, and involved the use of a knife.
We want to first assure our community that the leadership and security staff at each campus is aware of the incident and taking measures to ensure that the violence that occurred in the community does not spill into the schools. We also want to emphasize that SFDRCISD has committed, since the 2023/2024 school year to having multiple officers assigned to each secondary campus and will continue this practice. We also encourage students, parents, and the community to report any concerns they are aware of about violent behavior by students to campus administration, as such information helps us work together to keep our students and staff as safe as possible at school.
We are thankful for our local law enforcement agencies that are investigating this incident, and especially thankful for their visible presence at our campuses.
This is a Press Release from SFDR-CISD
