SFDRCISD IS GEARING UP FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR!

San Felipe Del Rio CISD is in full swing gearing up for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Later this week, SFDRCISD will release its annual newsletter, SFDR Highlights - Back-To-School Edition, which includes important information featuring an announcement that the District will once again provide some back-to-school supplies for every PK-8th grade student returning to school this fall semester.

Late yesterday, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Carlos Rios, shared that with the help of elementary and middle school principals, the District has been able to compile a simple list of essential school supplies typically recommended for each grade level. The District will purchase these supplies that would help ease parents’ financial worries of spending several dollars to equip their children for their first day of school.

The SFDR Highlights newsletter, which will be sent to parents via Class Dojo and Skyward Messenger, will also feature important school reminders and updates for parents and students. Among these, is the reminder that the Clear Backpack Policy remains in effect for all 6th-12th grade students attending secondary schools. Students who participate in extra-curricular activities may bring non-transparent bags only to store oversized band and athletic gear. Please note that these bags must be checked-in upon arrival and are always subject to a safety search. Although encouraged, students in grades PK-5th grade are not required to use clear backpacks

at school.
