Molcajetes holds a Grand Opening for their new location!

Excitement was in the air as Christian Mtanous, staff, chamber representatives, and city officials attended the grand opening of Molcajetes Restaurant and their new location. The new spot hosts a variety of improvements and much-needed accommodations for its growing customer base. Some of the changes help to address parking issues, space inside the restaurant, and a dedicated area for customers to enjoy music from performing artists. Mtanous who held a soft opening a while back is now fully ready for the community of Del Rio to experience Molcajetes. "I know usually I am a man of many words but right now with the ambience that we have just with everybody being present here, its very hard to get the words out. I do want to, from the bottom of my heart, appreciate everybody that's here right now in this moment everybody that's been supporting, everybody in the city that has been a big big big part of my growing business here..." "...my heart is in Del Rio and I do want everybody to understand that Molcajetes is going to be one of those staples that's going to be recognized in Del Rio to do not only good things for us but for the community. You know whether if its sponsoring the youth or creating events anything we can do to be a part of growing this city, and that's what we're going to continue to do..."

Beautiful ambient lighting, great customer service that treats you like family, and now musical performances! For their grand opening they hosted Grupo Voltaje and by the videos shared to their social media page,

it seems like the employees and customer alike, enjoyed the entertainment. Mtanous shared with us what it's been like and some words for the community. "I will say it's definitely a rollercoaster right now just you know because of the road that I took to get here, it was a difficult one but every thing now that we're starting to see and the community and their support is definitely making everything worth it. So right now I am just full of happiness just more than anything I guess a word I can say is very grateful, just grateful for everything god has blessed us with, for the community always blessing us with their support and more than anything we just want to send one big message: Molcajetes is here for the community and we want to welcome everybody to come on by join us and if not today, then for the time were going to be here for the plenty of years ahead and I guarantee we're going to do something good for the community not only by having the restaurant here and offering a lot of things but as much as everything we're going to be giving back to the community. It's going to be such a good relationship with the community of Del Rio!"
