MOCK REUNIFICATION EXERCISE COMPLETED

The San Felipe Del Rio CISD Reunification Team successfully conducted a Mock Reunification Exercise Drill this morning at Del Rio High School, Early College High School, and Del Rio Freshman School. All students and staff participating in this event have safely returned to their respective campuses.

SFDRCISD extends its gratitude to all members of the District’s reunification team, SFDRCISD Police, and all local law enforcement agencies that participated in this exercise. This includes the Del Rio Police Department, U.S. Marshalls, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, DPS, Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office, Val Verde EMS, Del Rio Fire Department, and the Offices of Emergency Management for Val Verde County and the City of Del Rio. Special thanks go to RAPTOR Technologies for their training and support during this event.

This training exercise aims to prepare students and staff for proper responses to potential unforeseen events such as severe weather, power outages, hazardous materials incidents, or crises occurring at the school.

In the event of an actual emergency, SFDRCISD will maintain frequent communication and updates to parents through their Skyward Parent Access. Due to privacy and safety concerns for our students and their families, there will not be any public press releases during an actual emergency.
