Man Collapses and Dies on Veterans Blvd

At 12:00 noon today, officers responded to a call in the 500 block of Veterans Blvd. A concerned employee from a nearby business reported a male collapsing outside. Upon arrival, officers located the individual and immediately requested Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) responded to the scene. Preliminary findings suggest no visible injuries indicating foul play. However, the cause of death is suspected to be heat exhaustion or underlying medical issues. An autopsy has been ordered, and authorities are withholding the name of the deceased, a 52-year-old Black male, until his next of kin can be notified.
