Easter Events Are In Full Swing: Connect Del Rio's Guide to Easter Festivities for the Whole Family

As Easter weekend approaches, local businesses and organizations have already begun their festivities. Beginning this weekend there are a number of markets, photo ops, and events taking place that include fun for the whole family! 

Connect Del Rio’s Editor In Chief has compiled a list of some of the events taking place from here to Easter Sunday:

Downtown Del Rio and Main Street will be lively this weekend with markets, fundraiser, and more: 

– The PopUp DRTX will be hosting a packed Easter-themed Market at the Kress Building on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 11am-4pm, featuring an incredible list of over 30 vendors and local favorites offering a selection of baked goods, boutiques, jewelry, food, crafts and much more! Perfect for last minute Easter gifts and basket stuffers! 

– CASA Val Verde Loteria Fundraiser Night/Block Party – Join CASA Val Verde at their Loteria Night fundraiser to create lasting memories, have a direct, positive impact on the lives of children in foster care by providing them with vital resources and support through your purchase of tickets/loteria cards or donations. Enjoy a lively evening of food, snacks, castle bounces, loteria, and exciting prizes! Located at Gorzugiz at the Herald. 

– El Mercadito invites you to a cute and fun photo op for the family, on Saturday, April 12, 2025 the store will be hosting the Easter Bunny for photos with a custom, Easter-themed backdrop from 12-4pm located at 910 S. Main Street. You won’t want to miss this event! 

– Shop Small Market will be hosting their Easter Market on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 5-10pm located at the San Fe Soccer Training Facility on 402 E. 3rd Street. Hop into spring with a fun-filled, Easter-themed day of shopping, delicious eats from local food trucks, vendors, and FREE Easter pictures for the whole family! 

– Laughlin Youth Programs will be hosting their Spring Family Day on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Building 390 on Laughlin Air Force Base. Join them for an egg hunt like no other, with over 12k eggs to find and some sneaky golden eggs to win! Free food, games, and car seat inspection/replacement. The egg hunt starts at 10:05, don't be late!

– Andy Mitchell - State Farm Insurance will be hosting their second annual Gather & Glorify Extravaganza located at Buena Vista Park. Join them for a Christian Easter Celebration! Celebrate Easter with an inspiring devotional and teaching about Easter followed by a day of fun and fellowship. Bring the whole family for delicious food, exciting games, a bouncy house, and an unforgettable egg hunt from 2-4pm. 

–Beyond Blessed Market presents their Glow in the Dark Egg Hunt on April 18, 2025 located at Roy H. Musquiz Park from 7-11pm with the egg hunt beginning at 9pm for kids aged 1-12, prizes, fun, music and more! 

– The City of Del Rio Police Department invites the community to their 3rd annual Easter egg hunt on April 10, 2025 from 5-7pm at the Buena Vista Park. Bring the whole family for an exciting event filled with fun, laughter, candy-filled eggs and a pet adoption!
