DRHS Smokin' Rams BBQ Club Teams traveled to San Antonio to compete in the St. Gregory the Great Regional Qualifier and placed in several categories
Blue Flame placed:
10th place Grilled Cheese, 7th place Ribeye Steak, 9th place Chicken Lollipops, 5th place Chili, 5th place Pork Ribs, & 5th place OVERALL
Smokin' Rams placed:
8th place Ribeye Steak, 7th place Chicken Lollipops, 3rd place Chili, & 7th place OVERALL
Certified Delicious place (Freshman team): 2nd place "Reserve Grand Champion" Chili & 14th OVERALL

The DRHS Smokin’ Rams BBQ Club is an exciting and dynamic student leadership organization within the growing Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. Under the guidance of Chef Adan Cortez, this club offers students a unique opportunity to develop their culinary skills, learn the art of BBQ, and gain invaluable experience in team collaboration and food preparation.
