Del Rio High School students in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) AP Computer Science Principles classes have successfully completed the Palo Alto Cyber Academy Foundation Program. The students mastered fundamental cybersecurity principles crucial for protecting enterprise networks and critical infrastructure.
The course, integrated with the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program, provides hands-on experience configuring security zones, authentication, and policies on next-generation firewalls. This accomplishment marks the third year DRHS CTE has incorporated this advanced training, highlighting its status as one of only six high schools in Texas privileged to offer this post-secondary program.
Palo Alto Networks, the world’s largest and leading global cybersecurity company, plays a pivotal role in preparing our students for the future challenges of a cloud-centric world. Their continued leadership and innovation in the industry ensure that our students are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills, making their Palo Alto Cyber Academy certification all the more significant.
