Del Rio Gains New Royalty! Miss Del Rio & Miss Val Verde Pageant held with Massive Support!

It was an eventful evening at the Ramada Inn Ballroom as the team from Queen City Productions prepared to host the Miss Del Rio & Miss Val Verde Pageant. The event coordinated by the Executive Director, Edward Guerrero, turned out to have massive support from the community and families of the participants.

Victoria Almaraz was crowned Little Miss Del Rio Texas, while Aubree Rivera took home the title of Junior Miss Del Rio Texas. Andrea DeHoyos was named Preteen Miss Del Rio Texas. The Val Verde titles were also awarded, with Hailey Rivera crowned Little Miss Val Verde, Ava Little as Junior Miss Val Verde, and Ella Farrar named Preteen Miss Val Verde. Special awards included Allisandra Sandoval winning Best in Active Wear, Jessica Reyes earning Best in Swimsuit and Best in Evening Gown, Damarys Alonzo selected as People’s Choice, and Nicole Mestas receiving the Miss Congeniality honor.

The winners from the event are set to advance to the Miss Texas USA and Miss Texas Teen USA competitions, held from May 2 to May 4, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Among the contestants moving forward are Miss Val Verde Texas, Tatiana Castillo, and Miss Val Verde Texas Teen, Ava Darden. Miss Del Rio Texas Teen Allisandra Sandoval and Miss Del Rio Texas Jessica Reyes will also represent their titles at the state-level pageant.

Toward the end of the pageant Executive Director, Edward Guerrero, shared an emotional speech to the audience about the hard work and dedication that the contestants put in, also citing the reason he does what he does with Miss Del Rio & Miss Val Verde. He also presented former Director, Elsa Reyes, with an award for all her time dedicated to the young ladies and the pageants held in previous years. Reyes, who served for 26 years accepted the award.
