CTE Students Earn EMT Certification
Congratulations to our 10 Students from the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program at Del Rio High School. They have received their Emergency Medical Technician certification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). This dual credit program collaborates with Southwest Texas Junior College, where students earn 15 college hours and graduate with a Level 1 Certificate. As a Certified Emergency Medical Technician, these students gain hands-on experiences at Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Women’s Labor and Delivery (L&D), and Respiratory department.
