"Border Kids" Podcast Explores Untold Truths of Life on the Texas-Mexico Border

DEL RIO, Texas – September 24, 2024 – Get ready to experience life on the Texas-Mexico border like never before with "Border Kids," a groundbreaking new podcast hosted by Del Rio native and former TV news anchor Cassandra Webb. Launching October 1, 2024, the podcast shares the untold stories of people who grew up on the border, revealing the complexities, struggles, and beauty that lie at the heart of communities along the Rio Grande.

With the increasing political and media focus on border issues, as well as the upcoming presidential election, Webb felt compelled to provide a platform for voices that are often overlooked or misrepresented. “Border Kids” seeks to present a more nuanced and humanized perspective on what it truly means to live on the border. 

Webb spent years as a trusted voice in TV journalism all across the country and now returns to her roots as a “border kid” herself. “Having grown up in Del Rio and spending years reporting on these issues, I’ve seen how the stories of real people often get lost in the noise,” Webb said.
